Wellmaxx is designed to use 3 stages of purification with filters containing the most advanced technologies. The system will reduce the most common issues with well water. There are, no tanks, or backwashing
It is recommended to change them approximately every 9 months. That will vary depending on usage.
Limescale requires a specific filter that will prevent and reduce existing limescale, such as LSX Filtration. With the Wellmax system the prefiltration is already present, and an additional prefilter is not required. The LSX filter will last 3-5 years.
Generally, well water systems generally will reduce the most prevalent problems found in wells. There may be pathogens and other harmful agents present in the well water. It is advisable to install a filtration for drinking and cooking purposes. See the Coldstream Max 3 stage under the sink filter which has been tested to reduce 220 pollutants to a 99% purification.
